Along the way...
My first trip to Africa was meant to be a getaway, but it quickly became something much more. The vibrant colors, rich traditions, and soulful artistry of the continent captivated me. With each market visit, each village stop, I found myself falling deeper in love with the culture, the people, and parts of myself I hadn’t known before.
Solo travel gave me the space to reflect, grow, and build lifelong connections. I’ve now journeyed through five countries, and my heart still longs to explore more. Along the way, I met incredible artisans, women weaving intricate bags together in the village, and skilled metalworkers shaping molten brass into timeless jewelry. The craft is technical, precise, and full of heart. Each piece I bring home is a story of tradition, resilience, and beauty.
Solowithjo is my way of sharing these stories with you, hand-selected accessories that celebrate African artistry, made with care by local hands and carried across the world with love.
This is the beginning of something special. I may not have fancy packaging or professional photos yet, but I do have a vision, and pieces crafted with meaning and care that I truly believe in. This is a soft launch, and I’d love your support as I bring this dream to life.
Thank you for being part of the journey -Jo
